Please take the time to enjoy the photo tours available for the Brockway Township Fire Hall and the Brockway Township Park. Also available on this site are copies of the most frequently asked for permits, applications and forms. For further information or anything not available on line feel free to contact the Brockway Township Hall on Monday, Thursday or Friday from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm. Brockway Township is a friendly rural community surrounding the City of Yale located in northwest St. Clair County. Our population is approximately 2,200 and counting. Mill Creek winds it's way through both the Township and City providing scenic vistas and varying wild life. While the land usage remains primarily farming there is a growing residential base and a small commercial base. The area offers 2 banks, a lumberyard, a car dealership, insurance offices, several churches, 3 gas stations, numerous restaurants and many convenience and retail stores. There are a wide variety of health professionals (i.e. Doctors, Dentists and Chiropractors) including a Veterans Clinic with connections to Port Huron Hospital and a branch of the St. Clair County Health Clinic. We have 5 Yale Public School buildings including Elementary Schools in Yale, Avoca and Emmett. There are also 2 Fire Departments, a Police Department and a newspaper and 2 public parks. The Township and the City have a joint Recreation Department providing numerous sporting opportunities for kids. Families find the community has much to offer while still maintaining the small town atmosphere. It is great place to live, work and raise a family.
